We are looking for two experienced General Practitioners to work on St Helena. 

Start: 27th May – End: 24th August (13 weeks – departing UK on 23rd May) 
Start: 3rd June – End: 24th August (12 weeks – departing UK on 30th May) 

St Helena Island is a small remote island (47 square miles) situated in the South Atlantic Ocean. St Helena is a self-governing Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom. The island’s population is around 4,500 and it has a typical small island economy.

This sub-tropical location offers a very mild, oceanic climates and a good work life balance. St Helena is known for being safe and welcoming and the island offers beautiful scenery, diverse wildlife and outdoor adventures.

Role description: 
To improve the lives of all within the community and help the island thrive by supporting and working within a team of Medical Officers, Nursing Staff and Allied Health Professionals to provide specialist knowledge and expertise in general medicine.  A specific focus will be on supporting the development and delivery of a robust and effective primary care service.

– GMC registration or equivalent and good standing with that body
– Fully qualified general practitioner, or other appropriate higher training
